Clinical Research Fellowship
Lee T. Zane, MD, MAS & Raza, Aly, PhD (Directors)

 

 

The UCSF Clinical Research Fellowship provides the opportunity for one physician to advance their experience in clinical research and to gain clinical and research expertise in the areas of acne, rosacea, medical mycology, and polycystic ovary syndrome.  The fellow will work under the direction of Drs. Lee Zane and Raza Aly to gain training and conduct clinical research in a wide range of dermatologic conditions.  Fellows will learn fundamentals across the full spectrum of clinical research, including: conceptual modeling, study design, implementation, good clinical practice, data analysis, and publishing/presenting.  The fellow will also gain extensive expertise in the management of acne and rosacea through participation in acne specialty clinics and will become an integral member of a multidisciplinary team of physicians assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (including dermatology, reproductive endocrinology, psychology, genetics, nutrition/exercise, etc.).  The fellow also has the opportunity to attend dermatology resident didactic sessions and Dermatology Grand Rounds.

  1. Completion of an internship year (minimum)
  2. Current California Medical License

Dependent upon level of experience and training
