About This
Website
This website was created by a grant from the UCSF
Patient Care Fund.
The Patient Care Fund was established by the UCSF Dean's Office to enable
Resident Physicians and Clinical Fellows to identify and fill patient
care needs. The Medical Center Administration recognizes that Resident
Physicians and Clinical Fellows have a special perspective on patient
care at UCSF and are in a position to make unique contributions to enhance
patient care.
Bryan Cho, MD, PhD was the author of this website. He received a grant during academic
year 2004-2005 for his proposal entitled "Skin Care Education in
Organ Transplant Patients." With the money from this grant, he
also developed a series of free patient-oriented seminars for the public
whose goal is to raise awareness of transplant patients' increased risk
for skin cancer.
Bryan Cho, MD,PhD is a graduate of the Medical Scholars Program at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
where he completed a PhD in Biochemistry in 1997 and a medical degree
in 2002. Between 1997 and 1999 he completed at post-doctoral fellowship
in Immunology at Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Center for Cancer
Research where he studied memory T cells and developed T cell-based vaccines.
He completed his internship at Internal Medicine at University of California,
San Francisco in 2003, and his Dermatology
Residency at UCSF in 2006.
